Dog Proof Raccoon Trapping – Ztrap Dog Proof Coon Trap

Published by Administrator

The Dog Proof Raccoon Trap is one of the best selling raccoon traps on the market and we decided to test out the Ztraps version and make a video for our customers. In this video we used all three color variations of the Ztrap. They come in White, Brown and Camouflage. We used 9 total traps ( 3 of each color ) at 3 separate locations.

We baited the traps with a mixture of corn, high protein dog food, marshmallows and Coon Catcher Lure. Traps were staked down with Berkshire Disposable stakes and attached to the cable with a quick link.

The traps were left out for 5 days and we caught 2 opossums and 3 raccoons. The three coons were caught on a brown, white and camo trap. Take a look at the video below at the 5:00 mark for raccoons caught.

Raccoon Trapping In New York City

Published by Administrator

Here is an article I found this morning by CBS New York. It details the growing problem by New York City residents that are dealing with a large population of raccoons. These resident raccoons are even to the point of intimating homeowners and trying to get in their homes. Raccoons pose a growing problem to people living in the city. There is not very much trapping in the city other than pest control companies. When you have that with amble supply of food then you have an increase in population.

The best way to remove a raccoon that is giving you problems is to use a Live Animal Trap. It is much cheaper than hiring a pest control company to remove the animal for you. They can charge up to $200 – $500 to remove the raccoon. Generally you will pay no more than $75 for a trap and all the bait you will need. This is much more cost effective and you can reuse the trap for years to come. Also a raccoon is not very hard to catch. This article states they used cat food and did not catch a single raccoon. If you use the right bait you should have no problem getting him in the trap.

Live Animal Trap Only $44.25
Bandit Bait 6 oz. $5.00
Coon Catcher Lure 1 oz. $4.85

Raccoon Trapping Using Duke Large Raccoon Trap

Raccoon Bait

Well after two nights of baiting our Duke Large Raccoon Trap we have caught our Coon. We used our Bandit Bait Raccoon Bait in our trap by taking a stick and dipping it in the bait. We used about 1/2 to 1 oz. of the lure on the stick. We have videoed the release of the coon showing an easy way to open the door without having to get your hand near the door when he runs out. We hope you enjoy the video !

Duke Dog Proof Coon Trap – Coon In Rusted Trap

Here is a great picture of a coon caught in a Duke Dog Proof Raccoon Trap. This coon was caught by Ty Woodall using our Coon Catcher Lure. If you notice in the picture the DP Coon Trap is rusted. Many people are used to dying and waxing their other traps and always ask us if they need to do it with the dog proof traps. Our response is you can but it is not necessary with a raccoon. As you can see with this coon he did not care about the rust on the trap !

FREE GOODS ! Now with every case of Duke Dog Proof Coon Traps you will receive a FREE bottle of Coon Catcher Lure and FREE DP Set Tool.

Customer Pictures: Our customers are welcome to send us any pictures they might have of catches using our Fleming Traps Lures. We will post them on our Facebook Page and Blog with your permission of course.
